Third Week

We safely arrived in Germany after a long journey on Sunday. Finally we found the time to update you on the last week of our trip and of course show you all the remaining pictures.

Once again a summary of what has happened:

Tuesday: After a crazy taxi ride from Satna we arrived in Khajuraho around noon. We got a great deal on a hotel (3,68 € [5 $]). We saw the famous erotic temples, which seemed to be more than just erotic to us. But see for yourself on the pics.
Wednesday: Very early we got a great deal on another taxi ride to Jhansi. From Jhansi we tried to book tickets to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. We only got tickets for the second class. It's quite adventurous to ride on second class. Hundreds of Indians in a train car that is meant to be for maybe a maximum of hundred passengers. In the afternoon we arrived in Agra and found a nice hotel with Taj Mahal view.
Thursday: We got up early and saw the incredible Taj Mahal. It really is the most beautiful thing you can see in India. After that we visited the Agra Fort which seemed quite boring after seeing the Taj Mahal.
Friday: Once again we got up early to see Fatehpur Sikri, the ghost city. Later that day we left Agra and arrived in Delhi.
Saturday: We did some last shopping and went to the airport. Even though we were at the airport 1 1/2 hours before departure we were told that we are too late. Surprisingly we left 45 minutes earlier. But everything went well, and now we are back.

So this will be my last blog entry about my time in India. I had an incredible time and learned so much. The internship was great and meeting so many people from so many cultures and backgrounds was one of the best experiences of my life.
